Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle will kick off Seafair- Seattle’s Summer Celebration!
For 60 years Seafair has entertained local residents and visitors as the region's largest summertime celebration.
Seafair is many things to many generations of Northwesterners. It's a month-long summer celebration allowing children, friends and family to step away from their fast-paced lives and celebrate the Puget Sound's unique cultural diversity and natural beauty.
Just hearing the name Seafair conjures up images of hydroplanes skimming across Lake Washington, kicking up giant rooster tails of misty white spray or the U.S. Navy Blue Angels thundering over the Seattle skyline.
For many it's the magic of the fun-loving Seafair Clowns and the boisterous Pirates enchanting crowds along the Torchlight Parade route while marching bands play and a colorful Chinese dragon twists wildly by. For others it can be freshly grilled salmon from the Ballard SeafoodFest, the smile brought to a child's face at Hispanic Seafair or the chance to enjoy all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer through a fun run, marathon or triathlon.
Seafair is a hometown jewel that reaches nearly two million Puget Sound residents each summer. In fact, if you live in the Northwest, you look forward to Seafair like a child on the last day of school and releasing energy at one of the many fantastic Seafair events. Seafair...Simply Summer!
