From its rich history as a coastal port city and famous evergreen scenery, to its reputation for fine coffee and the birthplace of grunge music, Seattle is jam packed with fun sites and activities for the entire family.  Here are some hot spots you won’t want to miss during your stay in Seattle!

  • Space Needle - www.spaceneedle.com

    Want to view the sites of Seattle at once?  Travel up the Space Needle, also known as the symbol of Seattle, and take in the sites from the panoramic deck, 520 feet above.  You’ll see downtown and the waterfront, Qwest Stadium and Safeco Field, beautiful Lake Washington, and even  glacier-topped Mt. Rainier.

    Let the Experience Music Project bring out your own creativity, as you examine the essence of rock ‘n’ roll and its influence on other genres.  You can even strike out some of your own tunes in mini-recording studios!

    Where can you get fresh flowers, fish throwing, and jewelry all in one place?  Pike Place Market!  Seattle’s famous hot spot is popular for its fresh produce, fruit, and vendors offering something for everyone.

    Hop on a ferry and spend a couple of hours taking in spectacular views as you relax on the water.

    Browse the diverse collection of over 23,000 artifacts from countries all over the world.  SAM (as it’s affectionately known) is all new, and houses a beautiful permanent collection as well as rotating special exhibits.  Free tours, family activities, and cafes make this more than just a cultural experience.

    Sightseeing with a twist?  Ride through the beautiful Seattle sights with the family on these fun reconditioned bikes. 

Tukwila Attractions

    Recently remodeled in 2004, the Tukwila’s new golf course continues the more than 80 years of tradition here with a look to the future.  The new clubhouse is known for steaks and BBQ, which you can smell cooking while you’re out on the course.

    Soar into the Museum of Flight, the largest aviation museum in the West Coast, for a fun-filled day of hands-on workshops, fly-ins, and experience sitting in a real cockpit! Board America's first presidential jet Air Force One, or climb aboard the sleek Concorde, and turn the clock back 95 years in the magnificently restored Red Barn, birthplace of The Boeing Company.

    The paved trail of more than 19 miles features the Green River and its beautiful surroundings of riverside landscape, parks, and previous industrial lands--allowing for a leisurely afternoon.
